About Benchmark Conservation

Benchmark Conservation was founded by me, Hugh Richards, in 2019. I have long had an interest in clocks and after a career in business, I attended the two year foundation course in horology at West Dean College near Chichester.
Benchmark has a fully equipped workshop in Clerkenwell, once the world centre of clockmaking and brings a practical, conservation led approach to the servicing and repair of all types of mechanical clock. The "My work" section below details the projects that I have worked on over the past four years.
